Quality incoming inspection

All new components will undergo a thorough inspection against the manufacturer drawing. We also validate the component meets the customer drawing/specification.

Operator training

Employees are trained and/or familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard. IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the standard for cable and wire harness assemblies which defines acceptable guidelines for operating machines, soldering, and crimp quality.

100% continuity testing

Finished goods are all tested for low voltage continuity using manufacturing mating connectors, when available. Manufacturing also has the capability to test Hi-pot voltage as well as active components such as diodes, capacitors, and resistors.

Crimp testing

There are two ways to validate a proper crimp terminal. One method is a Pull Test between the wire and its specified terminal. Another method is a crimp height inspection, both methods will be measured and documented per the manufacturer’s specification.

QC 1st inspection

Every new production release must be submitted to QC for approval before releasing to Production. When a 1st piece is approved, QC personnel will sign a green acceptance tag which details customer part number and work order.

First Article Approval Process (FAI)

Customer purchase order will specify the First Article requirements. We have the capability to provide a simple first article which entails dimensional results and balloon drawing. Some first articles will require extensive plans such as the PPAP part approval process.

Prototypes

Prototypes or a short production run is a great way to ensure finished product meets customers fit, form, and function. This also allows production to identify process/design flaws and correct them before a production run.

Quality in-process inspection

In-process inspections are done throughout the process from wire processing to crimping dept and finally manufacturing process. These visual and dimensional inspections are performed and noted on production work order and scanned into the system.

Product traceability

All finished goods products can be fully traced back to the supplier.
